Alte Vie delle Dolomiti Num. 4,5,9
The so-called Alta Via route is a very long hike, divided in few parts and suitable for well-trained and adventurous hikers. Every part includes different trails, new environments and extraordinary places and it ends with a rest in huts or bivouacs. Every hiker should be fully conscious of how in shape is he. He should be ready to face inconveniences and some hard trails. Do not hesitate to ask for advice to the hutkeepers and keep in mind that it is possible to choose an alternative trail by climbing up the summits nearby or by taking different via ferratas or different routes in the battle fields of the WWI.
Our hut is the main reference for two trails: n.5 dedicated to
Tiziano Vecellio who found an inspiration for his work in the
Marmarole mountains and n. 9 called Trasversale (the
transversal) because it crosses the East Dolomites from west
to east. Furthermore, you’ll find a synthetic overview of the
trail Alta Via n. 5, called “of Tiziano” (from Sesto Pusteria to
Pieve di Cadore) where Carducci’s Hut is a fundamental stop
and few hints on Alta Via n.9; Alta via n. 4 (froma S. Candido
to Pieve di Cadore is mentioned in the schematic map just as
a reference.
